“Don’t stick your foot in the ground, you want to run on an arc” This goes against literally every foundation of football I’ve ever been taught. As a player I was taught no wasted movement. As a coach, I teach the same. Every step should be with intent. After all, the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Not an arc. So it’s interesting to see someone suggesting the opposite
Good comment but comes down to context ... in this situation I wanted a more curvi-linear sprint to run through an arc type pattern like a D lineman fighting and bending through a block ... this is just one way to do it in one workout ... There's times we do "harder" cuts where you put your foot in the ground and create space like an offensive WR ... Bottom line ... we do both at different times for different reasons 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Hi, great video! Quick question, when would you incorporate strength training into a running programme? I'm training for middle distance (800-mile) and generally follow a 3 day training cycle (hard intervals 1st day, easy running / easy cycling days 2 and 3, repeat) - which day do you reckon is best to fit the strength sessions in while minimising leg fatigue for the intervals session?
There will be some "stiffness" when you start something new ... so don't get discouraged from the start, when you keep ur strength training in, it will be the norm , so you id do it on my non-running days

Yea , sure can be scaled and simplified for any age, like lower obstacles to step over the cones as an example
Most of the normal people who sprint have apt(pelvic tilt) or not prefect sprint technique when they run,But they dont injure hamstring or they dont have problem at all. But pro elite sprinter run with proper form and still injure hamstring why is it so.?
I think there are too many factors to isolate exact cause , but .... - repetitive stress w certain mechanics - limb strength descrepencies - tissue tolerance / abilities Pro sprinters are typically producing the highest forces in ideal conditions ...

I am making a throwing program I throw 80 mph as a freshman I am 170 and 5”10 Off season throwing program 🔥🔥 Monday long toss 80 easy throws and 15 from max distance 3x3 pull downs 5 minutes break in between. Tuesday weighed ball training 3 oz 2 lb 3 drills of my choice and focus 30 throws in all Wednesday light throwing day close throws working on my mechanics Thursday is Mondays Fridays is Tuesday Saturday is wensday a program Sunday light light bullpen looking at command What days should I do lifts

great question - simply choose a different way of "arm" care through the week ... off the top Day 1 - maybe more Int/ext rotation focus Day 2 - more abduction / adduction focus Day 3 - more dynamic stability w/ chaotic drills (bands / inverted kb ) So you're training all types of "arm care" w/out overkilling it.....

I do an upper lower split, a good start would be to look up tread athletics 21 day challenge. It has a good starting 4 day workout split to gain strength

thanks for watching and commenting 🤝 keep up the great work and we do similar workouts... but just dont lift as heavy to start - focus on movement quality Squat Push Ups Hip Hinge Rows Planks Do MORE reps... less weight to start Start w 2-3 sets of 20 (should be challengin) then add weight and do 15 ... then 12 .. then 10 etc over the course of 3-12 weeks

If it hurts - don't do it .... it's probably sliding around so you need to strengthen it - if no pain, most likely ok

😭 they aren't fancy enough to use force ... just use time .... it's good enough for consistent measuring and motivating athletes during a session

Wow i am so glad i found this video. I can't believe this is the first time I'm seeing that bench excercise. I was really looking for a psoas excercise that with an eccentric emphasis. Just cause i really like how loaded eccentric helps with mobility. Do you have any suggestions on how to further load that excercise?
can put a band on your butt to load it .... also Psoas is mainly active at > 90* of hip flexion... so seated in deep position... you can add a weight to 1 leg and control way down 🤷♂ or add over pressure manually - get creative 🕺 glad it was helpful
